Jawbox Gin has unveiled the world’s largest bottle of gin in time for World Gin Day celebrations.
At 32 Litres and standing at 73cm tall, the ‘Jawbox Giant’s Edition’ bottle is a huge version of the brand’s Export Strength gin with an ABV of 47%. It holds almost 46 standard bottles of gin.
The name and inspiration comes from Jonathan Swift’s well-known tale, Gulliver's Travels, in which the writer was said to have been inspired by the sight of the Belfast Hills, which he felt resembled a sleeping giant safeguarding the city. The same hills where Black Mountain heather is gathered to make Jawbox Gin.
The one-of-a-kind bottle will be showcased in the cocktail bar of luxury 5 star hotel The Grand Central in Belfast, the city that is the home of Jawbox Gin.
A delectable G & Tea has been created at the hotel to celebrate the occasion with a selection of delicate sandwiches, scones and sweet treats inspired by the botanicals and flavours of Jawbox Gin. Guests can also sit back, relax and take in the stunning views overlooking the Belfast Hills and beyond whilst enjoying the new Jonathan’s Twist Cocktail, served using the gin from this giant bottle.
The Jawbox Giant’s Edition will be on display from June 2021 at the Observatory Bar in The Grand Central hotel, Belfast. To book your Jawbox G&Tea visit grandcentralhotelbelfast.com.
